  • Especially affectionate with children.
  • Very Intelligent.
  • Alert and lively, but mild-mannered.
  • Easy to train.
  • Very hardy.
  • A bold hunter. Not trustworthy with hamsters, rabbits, rats or birds.
  • Wants to please.
  • Loves to cuddle and lick your feet.
  • Will bark, but it is not aggressive.
  • Puppies are very active, but they will mellow as an adult.
  • Likes to dig and must be securely fenced in.
  • Very fast runners.
  • Will generally get along with other dogs.
  • This breed does not do well when left alone all day.
  • They are economical to feed.
  • If you have two Border Terriers, it is best to have a male and a female. Males tend to fight especially siblings.
