- Especially affectionate with children.
- Very Intelligent.
- Alert and lively, but mild-mannered.
- Easy to train.
- Very hardy.
- A bold hunter. Not trustworthy with hamsters, rabbits, rats or birds.
- Wants to please.
- Loves to cuddle and lick your feet.
- Will bark, but it is not aggressive.
- Puppies are very active, but they will mellow as an adult.
- Likes to dig and must be securely fenced in.
- Very fast runners.
- Will generally get along with other dogs.
- This breed does not do well when left alone all day.
- They are economical to feed.
- If you have two Border Terriers, it is best to have a male and a female. Males tend to fight especially siblings.
